Royal Beauty Training Academy
Royal Beauty Training Academy is run by two ex military women Kelly and Elaine.
We offer a wide range of beauty and holistic courses face to face and online. Our courses are short courses mainly practical with a little theory working on live models on the day. We offer ongoing support with our student support hub which you can gain access to on completion of the course.
OUR STORY...
Royal Beauty Training and Education was set up by myself (Kelly Davies) and my business partner (Elaine Jack).
We're based in Pontypool, Torfaen where we offer a range of courses to a wide variety of students.
We believe we are unique as we offer all courses, manuals and handouts in Welsh and English. If your first language is Welsh or you’ve completed education in a Welsh school and you’re worried about the terminology then we are here to help. We have a qualified additional learning needs (ALN) teacher who has been a member of the ALN support staff for 9 years at Coleg Gwent in our team. Our aim is to be able to cater for all needs and circumstances.
All Royal Beauty Courses are taught by professional, qualified beauticians and teachers with qualifications up to PGCE level. We are fully insured and accredited allowing you to gain insurance to start your beauty career.
As part of our courses you will have full access to our detailed course manuals which include full step by step guides and demonstrations to the practical part of the course. All theory includes anatomy, contraindications, trouble shooting, client consultation, patch testing, equipment, products and after care advice.
Each of our students will have a recognised certificate and one of our ‘help set up your business’ information packs. You will have access to our online hub, which provides advice about clients and treatments, complaints, prices, products and business queries from our team. You can show us photos/videos of your work to provide feedback and chat with other Royal Beauty students.
So how did we design our course? Being in the military since we were 17, we have never known half measures and we simply don’t believe in mediocre. If we do something, we give it our all.
We began by talking how we wanted to design our business and it certainly wasn’t going to be average. There’s so many things we thought the common beauty course was missing. Yes you learn the skill, but what about how to build a business? Isn’t that the hardest part? What about trouble shooting, client complaints, going self-employed, managing your diary, managing client expectations, dealing with allergic reactions.
Going self-employed is a big deal and it’s scary. So our ongoing support is something we truly believe in. We will treat it as importantly as the initial course.
Whatever path you decide to choose, you won’t be choosing it alone.
